91. Circondarsi – to surround oneself
A: È importante circondarsi di amici sinceri.
B: E allora perché io sono qui?
A: Spiritoso...
A: It’s important to surround yourself with genuine friends.
B: So why am I here?
A: How funny...
92. Collegarsi – to connect
A: I neuroni nel cervello possono collegarsi tra loro in nuovi modi ogni volta che impariamo qualcosa. Sai come si chiama questo fenomeno?
B: Sì, è il fenomeno della neuroplasticità.
A: Bravo!
A: Neurons in the brain can connect in new ways every time we learn something. Do you know what this phenomenon is called?
B: Yes, it’s called neuroplasticity.

93. Congedarsi – to take leave/to bid farewell
A: Alcuni primati, come i bonobo, mostrano comportamenti simili al saluto umano. Quando si separano dal gruppo sembrano congedarsi con gesti o vocalizzazioni particolari, possibilmente per mantenere i legami sociali.
B: Interessante! Dove l’hai letto?
A: Non mi ricordo, forse su onlygoodnewsdaily.
A: Some primates, such as bonobos, display behaviours similar to human greetings. When they separate from the group, they appear to bid farewell with specific gestures or vocalizations, possibly to maintain social bonds.
B: Interesting! Where did you read that?
A: I don’t remember, maybe on onlygoodnewsdaily.
94. Congratularsi – to congratulate oneself
A: Mi congratulo con me stesso.
B: Almeno qualcuno che lo fa.
A: Certo che ti piacciono proprio le freddure.
B: Eh sì, ormai sono specializzato!
A: I congratulate myself.
B: At least someone does.
A: You sure do like one-liners.
B: Yeah, I’m a specialist now!
95. Conoscersi – to know each other
Giovanna sta guardando un film
Attore: Dai, vieni a casa mia a prendere un caffè, così ci conosciamo meglio...
Attrice: Certo con piacere!
Giovanna: Ma come fa a essere così stupida? I film dell’orrore di oggi sono così prevedibili. Nessuno andrebbe mai a casa di uno sconosciuto a prendere un caffè.
Andrea: Ti ricordo che quando ti ho invitato io ci sei venuta!
Giovanna: Sì ma tu non hai la faccia da serial killer.
Andrea: A volte non capisco come ragioni...
Giovanna is watching a movie.
Actor: Come on, come to my house for a coffee, so we can get to know each other better...
Actress: Of course, I’d love to!
Giovanna: How can she be so stupid? Horror movies these days are so predictable. No one would ever go to a stranger’s house for a coffee.
Andrea: I remind you that when I invited you, you came!
Giovanna: Yes, but you don’t look like a serial killer.
Andrea: Sometimes I don’t understand how you think...
96. Consolarsi – to cheer oneself up
A: Che cosa hai fatto quando Xtreme Gaming ha perso la finale di Dota?
B: Mi sono consolata con un Negroni, ma onestamente vedendo quando era felice Cr1t e quanto sono stati bravi i Falcons, ho brindato alla loro salute.
A: What did you do when Xtreme Gaming lost the Dota finals?
B: I cheered myself up with a Negroni, but honestly, seeing how happy Cr1t was and how well the Falcons played, I toasted them.
97. Consultarsi – to discuss/consult each other
A: Ci consultiamo per la cena?
B: Certo: pizza. Decisione unanime.
A: Mi conosci troppo bene...
A: Should we discuss dinner?
B: Sure: pizza. Unanimous decision.
A: You know me too well...
98. Contagiarsi – to get infected/to be hooked on
A: Sembra che tutti siano stati contagiati da KPop Demon Hunters!
B: Scusa ma cos’è?
A: Oh, ancora non l’hai visto? Meno male!
A: It seems everyone’s been hooked on KPop Demon Hunters!
B: What is that?
A: Oh, you haven't seen it yet? Thank goodness!
99. Controllarsi – to control oneself
A: Non riesco a controllarmi davanti alla Nutella.
B: Ti capisco, fratello, è la più grande tentazione mai esistita.
A: I can’t control myself when faced with Nutella.
B: I understand, brother, it’s the greatest temptation ever.
100. Coprirsi – to cover someone/oneself
A: Tornare a casa da lavoro e trovare il cane ad aspettarmi è un momento magico.
B: Perché?
A: Perché mi copre sempre di baci.
B: E io scusa?
A: Il cane è il cane. Non puoi fare paragoni...
B: Sei sempre così romantica...
A: Coming home from work and finding my dog waiting for me is a magical moment.
B: Why?
A: Because he’s always covering me with kisses.
B: What about me?
A: A dog is a dog. You can’t compare...
B: You’re always so romantic...
